EL Collaborator

POSITION PURPOSE:  Assist classroom teacher(s) by providing support services to individuals, small groups, and/or whole classrooms of students for the sole purpose of increasing student achievement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Support classroom instruction and increase student achievement
• Close achievement gap

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Teaching degree preferred
• Bilingual skills preferred for EL Collaborator

• Can motivate students
• Strong problem solver
• Skilled at communicating with staff and students
• Can model thinking and problem solving skills to students

HOURS:  School year - 180 days plus 4 additional days per year; 37.5 hours per week; approximately 8:00am-3:30pm

SALARY:  $18.50-$19.50, rate is dependent upon education and/or experience.  Those with a Master's Degree are eligible for an additional $2.70 per hour. (Schedule #21-2)
