The following vacancy exists in Goshen Community Schools for the 2024-25 school year:

Elementary Principal

 

POSITION PURPOSE:  Goshen Community Schools is seeking a highly qualified and licensed Principal as an educational leader. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Attends and conducts training of all processes including ILT meetings, PLC meetings, and the evaluation system.  
  • Effectively evaluates staff through observations, feedback, and performance monitoring.
  • Develops systems to be strongly put in place for a school to function at a high level.
  • Creates and implements operational systems and structures aligned to the district’s vision and mission.
  • Continuously analyzes data to formulate a strategic plan and monitor progress toward school-wide goals.
  • Establishes and monitors systems to plan, implement, and monitor instruction.
  • Supervises and supports the Dual Language Immersion Program at the school.

 

REQUIREMENTS:       

  • Master’s Degree
  • Valid Indiana License - Building Administrator (or the ability to obtain one)
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful building level administrative experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to increase student achievement results
  • Experience coaching and supporting adults, cultivating their leadership potential and improving their practice.
  • Bi-lingual preferred

  • Inspires commitment to high levels of student achievement through creating a respectful and trusting learning community.
  • Implements systems, routines, behaviors and a code of conduct that prioritize learning.
  • Engages family and community members in student learning.
  • Maintains a high-performing staff team by recruiting and hiring individuals with skills that align with school needs.
  • Ensures aligned professional development and leadership opportunities exist for all staff.

 

WORK CALENDAR:  School year + additional 25 days; 209 days per year; 40 hours per week

 

SALARY:   Administrative Contract – 209 days; Base Pay – Negotiable based on Experience
