Student Council Sponsor

 

Job Description:
The Junior High Student Council Sponsor is responsible for guiding and supporting the student council in planning, organizing, and executing various school events, activities, and initiatives. The sponsor will serve as a mentor to student council members, helping them develop leadership skills, promote school spirit, and foster a positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance to the student council, ensuring alignment with school goals and policies.
• Assist in the planning and coordination of student council meetings, events, and projects.
• Supervise and advise students in the development of agendas, budgets, and timelines for activities.
• Encourage student participation and facilitate communication between the student council, school administration, and faculty.
• Oversee the election process for student council members and ensure fair representation of the student body.
• Promote a positive and inclusive school culture through student-led initiatives.
• Monitor the progress of student council goals and provide feedback and support as needed.
• Attend and supervise all student council-sponsored events, including after-school and weekend activities.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with junior high students.
• Experience in leadership roles or student organizations is preferred.
• Commitment to fostering student leadership and a positive school environment.

Time Commitment:
This position requires flexibility to attend after-school meetings and events, as well as occasional weekend activities.

 

SALARY:  $666.00 - $734.00 per extracurricular schedule (Group 13) and experience
